**.. refund ..**

I am the child of a Disabled American Veteran.  For that I recieve some money for schooling.  This past semester we also found out that my dad can get the Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits and share them with us.  Here is were the confussion begins.  You cannot 'double dip' into both of them, you can only use one at a time and it goes by year instead of semester.  You would think that a lady whose job is DEVOTED to taking care of this would know all of the aforementioned information and help a sister out.

I went into her office in October and asked what needed to be done.  She filled out all of this paper work and submitted it.  I said, "Shouldn't we wait until next semsester, becasue I have already paid my tuition this semester and it's just a waste to do it now."  Her response, "Oh yah, that would be dumb to use it now."  It was this whole thing that had to be called and cancelled.  She said just e-mail me in December and I'll file it for next semester.

So I e-mailed her in early December (she has a habit to forget things so I e-mail her often).  Well she filed them in the middle of Decmeber while I was still taking class for the fall semester.  A week ago I got an e-mail saying that I owe $1908 for tuition and fees from the FALL semester.  That had been over and done with since August.

To make things even better, I wrote an essay in the Fall for a scholarship and I got it.  So now I am trying to find that money too.  I had to go to my college and go back and forth between the financial-aid office, the Bursar office and the registar office.  I knew what needed to be done but not one person handles all of it and for some reason they could not figure it all out.

I finally got a check and I think I should have gotten more but if everything else was settled correctly (fingers crossed) then I'll take it.

In 2 years quite a bit has changed.

I still go to IPFW but my major is now General Studies and I love it.  I have taken a wide variety of classes but I enjoy the nutrition classes the most!  My new goal is to go into Yoga after college and open my own studio.

I still work at the same place and I still clean one house.  I really want to quit cleaning the house though it is a mind numbing job that I just do not care to do anymore.  The money is great but I dread doing it.  I also teach gym as I have talked about before.

My sister now goes to IU and studies nursing.  Jack is in the 7th grade and he is playing football and basketball.

Jason and I have went ring shopping and have spoken about getting engaged but who knows when it will happen?  I want it to be a surprise!  I can't see myself with anyone else, we have been through a ton of stuff and I'm sure there is a ton more to come.  We can do it though!

I go back to school tomorrow.  I just want to be done!

I began blogging in April of 2009.  This was my first blog post EVER!  I will post tomorrow night about what has changed in the past 2 years!  I would like to incorporate old posts into my new blog because I don't know how to do it automatically and I have some good stuff from the old days.  I hope you enjoy it :)

My First Blog ..

Today is the big day ! After several weeks of reading my aunt's blog, I have decided to join as well. So, forgive me, because it will most likely take me awhile to get the hang of this. Hopefully it will be sooner than later though :)

I currently attend IPFW University, for Business .. not sure which direction yet .. but I am working on figuring it out ! I work as a waitress at Nine Mile Restaurant and I clean a couple houses to help bring the money in :) I live on the Northwest side of Fort Wayne, so it is quite a drive, to wherever I want to go .. except Wal - Mart .. which is just two minutes away .. yay !

I recently got really into yoga and I love it ! It is an amazing relaxer and completely helps me to get my mind off of everything. Other then yoga, I just study, clean, and hang out with my friends. I also enjoy crocheting .. which my grandma taught me how to do at the age of 7 .. I am working on a blanket for my bed and am about 1/3 of the way done :)

I have one sister and one brother.

Alex will be 18 in June .. so for mother's day, we are going to take my mom gambling at Soaring Eagle .. can't wait ! Alex and I are pretty close and talk to each other fairly often, I wish we were a little closer though .. but I hear that comes with time .. hopefully :)

Jack turned 11 in December and just got done playing basketball and will now start with baseball .. which I love and he is now in majors .. which hopefully means more competition and excitement ! I really enjoy going out to watch him participate in sporting or school events. We talk to one another nearly everyday .. that way we can stay close . since I no longer live at home .

I recently lost my grandpa Jim .. and have a more difficult time accepting it .. then I ever imagined that I would .. but as with everything, it will just take time .
