Today I went tanning for the first time in over a year (in a tanning bed). When I tan in the sun I always wear sunscreen, I am so afraid of getting skin cancer. I was talking to my mom the other day about how great vitamin D is for us and since it hasn't been very sunny here I thought some artificial sun might help a bit. I plan on going every other day for 10 - 15 minutes. Hopefully I don't get addicted!
Do you tan in a tanning bed? How long? How often?

I use to tan everyday for almost 5 years! I was an addict, it was bad. I use to schedule stuff around my tanning.
But now it has been since summer since I have tanned, but in the next month I plan on buying a package.
Tanning can become addicting, so beware!
I've never been in a tanning bed (I'm paranoid of skin cancer, too), but my white skin could definitely use some color! How was it? Were you burned after?
I used to go like 2 or 3 times a week.. until I started getting brown spots on my skin.. not like normal sun spots, but bigger ones the size of a pencil eraser. I was definitely from tanning because they were on my breasts and butt.. places not normally exposed! Be careful.. I lather up now anytime I'm out and about.
You can get enough Vitamin D from milk and being outside driving and getting the mail and stuff.. it doesn't take much.
